Moderne Art Fair: A Surprising Edition
This new edition of Moderne Art Fair features over sixty French and foreign galleries, exhibiting a vast selection of exceptional artworks and objects. The fair is also presenting new exhibitions in collaboration with institutions, museums, foundations and art centers. This year, among the exhibition stalls, Moderne Art Fair unveils two exhibitions, an installation and a photographic project.
The first exhibition inaugurates the first pavilion and features the Bonisson Art Center in Rognes, Aix-en-Provence. This unprecedented collaboration reflects a shared commitment to supporting art in all its forms, and includes a selection of artworks curated by Christian Le Dorze, founder of the Bonisson Art Center.
The second exhibition “Don Yuan” brings together Italian artists Gianni Colosimo and Luisa Bruni. Presented in the second pavilion, this immersive installation is inspired by China and adopts an environmental and political approach. “Don Yuan” explores the materiality of money and Chinese iconography, highlighting the particularities of the People’s Republic of China in relation to the United States. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Riccardo Costantini gallery in Turin and the Baudoin Lebon gallery in Paris.
Moderne Art Fair took many by surprise with an installation created by Esther Denis in collaboration with Levita. Founded in 2018 by two magicians, Clément and Philippe, Levita uses neuroesthetics to create interactive and emotional experiences, engaging visitors through storytelling and storyliving, turning them into active participants. Levita creates meaningful and memorable moments. In the first pavilion, “Œuvre inversée” offers an immersive experience inspired by Otto Piene’s Sky art, using light, movement and empty space.
Last but not least, Moderne Art Fair renewed its trust in HUM, the media that advocates a new way of life embodied by inspiring and committed personalities. This year, in partnership with Moderne Art Fair, HUM is inviting the artist duo Lucy + Jorge Orta, leading figures in the fields of art and ecology, to present their work in an exhibition called “My center everywhere”. The title refers to the first line of the poem “Amazonia”, written by British environmentalist poet Mario Petrucci from video footage recorded by the artists in the Amazon rainforest in 2009.During the inauguration, we met Baudouin Lebon, Florence Wagner, Jorge Orta, Diane Venet and Anton Molnar.
