Mobilier National launches Paris Design Week
Mobilier National launched Paris Design Week with an evening dedicated to presenting their Creation and Research thinktank’ s last creations. The Orria seat, designed by designer Patrick Jouin and developed together with the ARC, was edited by Alki furniture. This seat is meant to furnish the BNF. EIDOS XXI a project by Benjamin Graindorge and Valérie Maltaverne staged at the Chapelle des Gobelins has also been unveiled during the evening.
While people discussed these two great designs over a cocktail by Lilet, the Campus Métiers d’Art et Design showed the work from participants to a contest meant to reflect on hypothetic uses of wool. Several projects, exhibited all around the Mobilier National premises, presented proposals for new ways of designing, recycling and reusing wool. The prize for young creation was awarded to Christofer Cantodea’s project. We ran into First Lady Brigitte Macron, Camondo’s director René-Jacques Meyer, Nelly Rody’s president Pierre François Le Louet and of course designer Patrick Jouin.
