Miu Miu invites Paris Fashion Week into its ‘Imaginary Sports Palace’
Just like Prada a few days prior, Miu Miu invited Parisian friends to discover its Spring/Summer 2021 collection at the occasion of a private lunch. At Mun, a rooftop restaurant with panoramic view on the Champ-Élysées, Miu Miu unveiled its show through a film broadcasted on big screens. The collection is characterized by its athletic inspiration: titled ‘Imaginary Sports Palace’, the show took place in a scenography emulating a graphic stadium with color-blocking lines and a path from the locker rooms to the field. International guests were invited to join the party by taking place on the digital bleachers from their own homes, which was the perfect remedy to the impossibility of gathering all the Miu Miu Club members for a physical show. This ‘virtual front row’ was integrated within the scenography where silhouettes evolved showing the dual inspiration of sportswear and eveningwear. This duality was best embodied by the accessories, especially the shoes that were a mix between soccer shoes and kitten heels. Here’s a look back at this athletic lunch with Clara Luciani, Ludivine Sagnier, Carine Roitfeld, Alexandra Golovanoff, Camille Charriere and Lyna Khoudri.
