Fila makes runway debut at Milan Fashion Week
For their very first fashion show, sportswear brand FILA chose Milan Fashion Week to reaffirm their Italian origins. It was no coincidence the FILA Foundation was chosen to host this historic fashion show. The collection designed by the two creative directors, Antonino Ingrasciotta and Joseph Graesel, aims to reinterpret and update the brand’s technical knowledge to create a contemporary wardrobe based on style – not only technology. The House’s emblematic blue, white and red logo of remains unchanged. With the support of young top models Ton Heukels and Daphne Groeneveld, Fila also positioned themselves as a valid Milan Fashion Week entity, even daring to move away from sneakermania in favor of high heel sandals on the podium. This is enough to break Fila’s purely “sportswear” image and open the brand to new, more fashion-oriented, horizons.
