Milan Fashion Week ended with a bang with Manuel Facchini’s show. The designer is none other than the artistic director of one of Italy’s historic houses: Byblos. While the designer was already in the spotlight on the first day of Fashion Week for Byblos, his talent did strike again at its very end. His collection was presented in the manner of a true artistic performance: nine models were immersed in darkness and dressed in stylish amour-like garments. They all walked on an immersed podium to the haunting rhythm of an underground soundtrack. The Spring/Summer 2019 collection is called “Divine Device”. Manuel Facchini, passionate about architecture, says he was inspired by 3D and the endless repetition of a motif. These ornaments were visible details at the waist, neck or on the helmets worn by the models. Those are the images we keep in mind on the flight to Paris…
