Festival regulars know that the Mouton Cadet Wine Bar, nestled on the Palais des Festivals’ roof, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful Cannes terraces there is. For this new edition, the outer part of the space has been redesigned by French artist Mathias Kiss. With curtains by Maison Pierre Frey and seats in azure blue marble pattern, the atmosphere this year was inspired by West American modernism and French art deco with a touch of French Riviera. As evening fell, Mouton Cadet’s guests were treated to a musical evening at sunset. Guest of honor of this opening cocktail, Michel Legrand offert a piano a concert for the pleasure of many guests among whom Agnès B., Blanca Li or Frédéric Beigbeder. The space will welcome actors and directors for their press junkets (Todd Haynes, Julianne Moore, Roman Polanski or Vincent Lindon for “Rodin”), and provide the perfect setting to watch the twilight spread over the Croisette, just as it did last night.
