With miart, Contemporary Art Blossoms in Milan
Friday was the opening night of miart, the modern and contemporary art fair that for three days (April 14-16) transformed Milan into a mecca of international creativity. Artists, collectors, gallery owners and personalities from the world of sports, fashion and entertainment attended the opening in the magnificent spaces of Fiera Milano City. Among the participants were Barnaba Fornasetti, artistic director of Fornasetti for over 30 years, Italian artist Gian Maria Tosatti, collector Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Founder and President of the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo; Arturo Galansino, Executive Director of Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi; Vincenzo De Bellis, Director of Art Basel; Fabio Capello, legendary coach of Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid; and Massimo Giorgetti, Creative Director of MSGM. The inauguration was also the occasion to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Nicola Trussardi Foundation. A very special moment presented by Nicola Ricciardi, artistic director of miart, and Massimiliano Gioni, artistic director of the Nicola Trussardi Foundation and that ended with the cutting of a cake by Maurizio Cattelan.
