Maurizio Cattelan visits Paris’ Outsider Art Fair

We owe the term “outsider art” to Roger Cardinal who, in a 1972 work devoted to rough art, set out to study this artistic practice which can also be described as marginal art, outside conventions. Also undisciplined, as are the artists presented by the Outsider Art Fair for five editions in Paris and already twenty years in New York. Until October 22nd, at the same time as Paris is living to the rhythm of the FIAC, Outsider Art Fair presents at the Hôtel du Duc no less than thirty galleries (Donald Ellis Gallery, Galerie du Marché, Galerie Polysémie and many others) with this year the remarkable presence of the great Maurizio Cattelan, installed on the stand of the Andrew Edlin Gallery. But also the designer Philippe di Meo or Sylvia Picasso, who came to confront “raw creativity”. To live without further delay.
