Marie-Amélie Sauvé launches MAStermind #4

MAStermind only counts four issues, still it has already become a staple of the publishing and fashion industries. It is no surprise knowing the tremendous success of its founder and Editor-in-Chief, Marie-Amélie Sauvé, both as a stylist and creative consultant, and all around style icon. Sauvé has been pulling the fashion strings behind the scenes for years now, so it seems unnecessary to mention her achievements again. Her magazine is a reflection of her limitless creative mind: it is an anthology that brings together the best of what contemporary fashion, art (and more) has to offer. So much so it instantly became a collector’s item. To celebrate the release of MAStermind’s fourth issue, Marie-Amélie Sauvé invited her friends to discover “A Generation,” an exhibition at Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac featuring a selection of photographs by Charles Fréger, Jamie Hawkesworth and Raimond Wouda taken from the magazine’s archive. There, Pierre Hardy, top model Karen Elson and emerging designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin were all in attendance. The evening, far from ending within the gallery’s walls, later continued at Maxim’s with the support of Louis Vuitton (it is notorious that MAS and Nicolas Ghesquière have been work buddies for ages). In the dim light the of iconic Parisian club, Georgia Fowler, Liya Kebede, Woodkid, and even activists Beate and Serge Klarsfeld all showed up to support Marie-Amélie Sauvé, as well as enjoy a DJ set from rising star Kiddy Smile. This was definitely a good way to start Paris Fashion Week – which already promises to be a rollercoaster.
