Maison Mode Méditerranée Launches “Les Correspondances” Conference at Mucem

Mucem, Marseille

For over 30 years, Maison Mode Méditerranée has been promoting craftsmanship and the development of ethical fashion, while fostering links between Mediterranean and African countries to highlight their shared heritage. Led by its president, Jina Luciani, the endowment fund is introducing a new initiative this year: the conference “Les Correspondances”. Held under the patronage of UNESCO’s National Commission and the theme of “fashion and architecture”, this first edition focuses on the artisanal patrimony of the Mediterranean and Africa, revealing synergies between these cultures and arts and crafts. From June 4th to 6th, the Mucem in Marseille becomes a Mediterranean fashion metropolis, a platform for promoting and sharing knowledge. Featuring round tables, podcasts, and a research and creation project, the event brings together participants from six nationalities, 13 Maison mode Méditerranée prize-winners, and 25 experts from the fashion and architecture fields.

At the inauguration event, we meet the prize-winners of the Prix Maison Mode Méditerrannée Mélanie Gomis, Salim Azzam, Mahmoud El Safadi, Joe Challita, Cheikh Kébé, Amaury Darras, Judy Sanderson, Pierre-Jean Desemerie, Ahmed Amer, Sophia Kacimi, Anissa Aïda, and many more.
