Cristina Celestino is Maison&Objet’s designer of the year

Italian designer Cristina Celestino is Maison et Objet’s 2022 designer of the year. Each year, the fair highlights and rewards the work of a designer and invites them to design an original scenography to be presented for Paris Design Week.

Working from Milan, where her studio is currently located, Celestino’s work ranges from furniture to interior design both for hotels and luxury houses. The designer also strives to find the right balance between fashion, design and art as complementary disciplines. She was appointed official architect to the Sergio Rossi boutiques and worked on several projects for Fendi.

Her restaurant « Palais Exotique » was revealed during the fair, at an evening tea-time gathering luminaries of the design, architectures and decoration scenes . Maison et Objet’s director Guillaume Prot attended the event together with designers Jean Couvreur, Cédric Breisacher, Guillaume Delvigne, Charlotte Juillard, Caroline Ziegler, Pierre-Louis Gerlier and of course, Cristina Celestino herself
