High Jewelry Maison Cris Porto Celebrates its 40th Anniversary at the Ritz Paris
It all started in 1985, in the gold-bearing lands of Minas Gerais in Brazil. Cris Porto, a visual arts graduate, discovered in her workshop the magic of metal and the symbolic power of natural stones. Each design becomes the extension of an emotion, a memory or a personal story. But Porto’s path has not been a linear one. Over the decades, she has had to face up to monetary instability and successive reforms in Brazil, all of which have built her remarkable resilience. This ability to adapt, far from hindering her, fuels her work with a quiet strength rooted in authenticity. In 2023, the installation of a showcase at the Ritz Paris, Place Vendôme, cemented the acknowledgement of a loyal clientele at the very heart of the temple of high jewellery. It was only natural that the designer would host a gathering of friends, journalists, clients and influencers at the palace to present her latest creations. We met Stéphane Rolland, Cris Porto, Sávio Pinheiro, Fred Stauffer, Narah Baptista and many others.
