MAC VAL opens two new exhibitions

This March, the MAC VAL (Musée d’art contemporain du Val-de-Marne) presents two new exhibitions reflecting on contemporary questions about time, human influence on the planet and our relationship to reality. The first exhibition, called “Le vent se lève”, is a group show bringing together a wide selection of works from the museum’s 2020-2021 collection, some being new acquisitions. Curated by Alexia Fabre, Anne-Laure Flacelière and Ingrid Jurzak, the works of Clément Cogitore, Boris Achour, Roman Moriceau, Tatiana Trouvé, Agnès Varda and Lola Gonzàlez (nearly fifty artists in total) meet in a scenography by bGc Studio, Giovanna Comana and Iva Berthon de Gajsak. Further on, the MAC VAL hosts the first monographic exhibition by Brognon Rollin, a duo composed of the artists David Brognon and Stéphanie Rollin. With “L’avant-dernière version de la réalité”, the two artists question the existence of reality through a series of works with multiple readings. Here’s a look back at the exhibitions opening in the company of artists and friends of MAC VAL.
