Luxury British Brand Sunspel Opens a Boutique in the Marais
Founded in 1860 in Nottingham by Thomas Hill, luxury British brand Sunspel inaugurated a magnificent boutique in the Marais district last night. The company, which has weathered two world wars and the Great Depression, has always upheld its values of quality, innovation, and craftsmanship. It has been manufacturing and perfecting T-shirts for over 100 years, including its classic style made from Californian Supima cotton and handcrafted in its English factory, which some consider to be the best in the world. Another innovation came in 1947, when Sunspel introduced boxer shorts to the UK, turning them into luxury underwear. Then in the 1950s, the brand created the famous Riviera polo shirt, worn by Daniel Craig in Casino Royale. A truly respectable British institution opened its doors in Paris last night on Rue Sainte Croix de la Bretonnerie.
At the inauguration, we met Nicholas Brooke (Sunspel Owner), Raul Verdicchi (Sunspel CEO), Paul Samb, Valentin Lucas, Alexia Aubert.
