Luna Laffanour – Downtown+ Aptly Blends Art and Design
Luna Laffanour – Downtown+ presents Italia, the exhibition that brings together the iconic figures of Italian design with ultra-contemporary art. It includes iconic pieces by Ettore Sottsass and his “Mobile Giallo”, created in 1988, Andrea Branzi and his “Collez-Animali Domestici” chair, and Superstudio’s “Bazaar” modular sofa, dating from 1968. The pieces are displayed alongside the paintings of Nicolas Mehdipour, whose striking imagery questions our relationship with the living and the artist’s connection with contemporary art. A daring exhibition, just like Luna Laffanour – Downtown+, which is to be discovered from October 12th to 16th at the Hôtel de l’Industrie. At the opening, we met Luna, François and Naomi Laffanour, Nicolas Mehdipour, Claire Chazal and many others.
