Lucia Koch’s “Double Trouble” At The Palais d’Iéna

A powerful first solo exhibition in France, Lucia Koch’s “Double Trouble”, was inaugurated on October 17 at the Palais d’Iéna.

The Sao Paolo based artist conceived an in situ monumental work that spreads itself through the architectural space. An impressive prime example of her artistic practice, which is built on a dialogue with preexisting spaces. This time engaging in a conversation with the emblematic building of the CESE, Koch has metamorphosed the space by installing large-scale printed textiles that unfold and envelop the Palais d’Iéna. The lightness of the material and its transparent soft hues transform the building into a breathing organism.

The pieces gently moved with the air breeze while the guests discovered the exhibition. Denise Vilgrain, Alexandre Devals, Yorgo Tloupas were among those who attended ..as well as the curator of the exhibition Mathieu Poirer and the artist herself.
