Jacques Toubon Appoints Louis Nègre as Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres
In the golden decor of the 7th arrondissement town hall, Louis Nègre was awarded the title of Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres by former Minister of Culture Jacques Toubon. It was a fitting distinction for this man of culture whose life was novel-worthy. Louis Nègre was born in Paris, where he studied before moving to Tangier and Boston. A passionate art lover, he traveled the world and attended the biggest international fairs (Miami, Paris, London…). A business angel and patron of the arts, he sits on several museum committees, such as Orsay and Pompidou. The award ceremony was preceded by a book signing for his latest novel, “Cut up à Tanger”. We met Florence de Botton, Christophe Poisson, Antoine Gendry and Marie Rossi, among others.
