The Isabel Marant style is an assumed, relaxed femininity with rock and roll accents. Since the presentation of its spring-summer 2018 collection, it is a style that also applies to men. In her fashion show presented last October, the designer distilled a series of male silhouettes – a first if one does not count her successful collaboration with H&M in 2013. Now the woman Isabel Marant finally has her male counterpart, and this week the designer celebrated this new evolution in the history of her house by inviting friends and close collaborators to a very private dinner in her showroom in the Place des Victoires. At the table, Alexandre de Betak and Loïc Prigent are crushed in conversation, Jérôme Dreyfuss and Ariel Wizman savouring a grenade or the editors Emmanuelle Alt and Olivier Lalanne. We also noticed the presence of the model Luc Defont, face of this new male line. In the good mood, the evening continued with a concert of Lomepal, the young rapper rising figure of the French scene. A great way to get in shape for men’s fashion week…
