Ron Mueck’s Monumental Work Exhibited at the Fondation Cartier
The Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain invites Australian artist Ron Mueck to exhibit a selection of sculptures, unveiled for the first time in France, along with iconic pieces from his career. Visitors will also discover his monumental installation Mass (2017), an unprecedented event as it has never been exhibited outside Australia.
On Tuesday 6, the Amis de la Fondation Cartier were invited for an exclusive preview of the exhibition in the presence of Ron Mueck, President Alain Dominique Perrin, and new Managing Director Chris Dercon. That same evening, the works were presented to the figures of the art world during the inauguration evening, which continued on to the magnificent gardens of the Fondation Cartier. Wandering among the artworks together with the artist, we had the pleasure of meeting the Minister of Culture Rima Abdul Malak, Thaddaeus Ropac, Guillaume Désanges, Isabelle Huppert, Emanuele Coccia, Sophie Calle…
