Lille3000 celebrates 25 years of the Perrotin gallery

In the dynamics of the invitations made to the great collections, lille3000 welcomes the Galerie Perrotin in the Tripostal spaces, in Lille. The opportunity to give an account of the vision of a French gallery owner, Emmanuel Perrotin, through a selection of works by artists he has exhibited throughout his career – for 25 years, then.

Disseminated on the large plateaus of the Lille area: monumental sculptures and installations by Wim Delvoye, Daniel Firman, Gianni Motti and Tatiana Trouvé, mobiles by Lionel Estève, “Vingt ans après” by Sophie Calle, “INRI” by Maurizio Cattelan and works specially designed for the place by Gelitin, Guy Limone, Pieter Vermeersch, JR.

Other rooms gather Japanese artists like Aya Takano, Mr and Chiho Aoshima. Many French artists are represented such as Bernard Frize, Kolkoz, Ange Leccia, Jean-Michel Othoniel, Philippe Parreno, Claude Rutault, Xavier Veilhan and Jean-Luc Vilmouth, without forgetting two sculptures by Danish artists Elmgreen and Dragset and a film projected on Jesper Just’s big screen.

A hell of an unpacking, for a quarter of a century as rich in success as in discoveries. Happy Birthday, Perrotin!”
