David Douard’s Group Exhibit at the Pernod Ricard Foundation
On Monday, May 6th, the Pernod Ricard Foundation unveiled its new exhibition “Crumbling the Antiseptic Beauty”, curated by contemporary artist David Douard.
The collective show gathers the widely diverse work of artists from all backgrounds and generations, featuring paintings, sculptures, furniture, musical works or photographs. For his first time as general curator for an institution, David Douard curated artworks around concepts such as energy, circulation, transformation… He actually mentioned this “energy” in an interview before the inauguration, which he describes as the central theme of his art.
Between the artists’ mutual influence and interest on one another, the exhibition revolves around a personal and collective development. David Douard’s scenography throws us off balance, plays with the architectural lines of the building and offers an intimate and almost domestic atmosphere, which is ideal to discover the work of the artists.
The exhibition will be displayed until July 13th, 2024 at the Pernod Ricard Foundation.
