“Let’s Play” by Maitrepierre: A Surrealist Alliance

Alphonse Maitrepierre’s avant-garde brand, known for its daring pieces, has celebrated its fifth anniversary with a sensational collection entitled “Let’s Play”. The new line breaks the rules with an unexpected blend of geek culture and surrealism, inviting the audience to rethink their approach to clothing.

From the very first glance, it was clear that Maitrepierre had a radically different vision. The clothes, both quirky and captivating, feature innovative shapes and details that were almost meant to break boundaries. Collars were sliding down sleeves, computers were transformed into bustiers: each piece was an artistic exploration of unbridled imagination.

Patterns of swirling drapes and vortex-like stripes transported the audience into a universe where reality and fantasy intertwine. Joystick buttons became polka dots, recalling the world of gaming while humorously questioning the materiality of everyday objects. Each piece seemed to be born of a fusion between a technological past and an imaginary future.

The front row of this amazing show gathered Clara Berry, Julien Granel, Clara Marz, Alice Moireau, Flora Coquerel, Suzy de Givenchy, Camille Lellouche and many others…
