Les Bains Guerbois, the first olfactory story of a myth
The myth Les Bains has reached a new stage in its history. In the Parisian popular consciousness (and beyond), it is known to all that the establishment today under the direction of Jean-Pierre Marois was once a spa. It is perhaps less clear that its rich history dates back to 1885. Paying tribute to its centenary origins with the creation of a fragrance (three, to be exact) was only a matter of time. This week La Boutique Les Bains celebrated the launch of the trio of perfumes by three different perfumers: 1885 Bains Sulfureux by Dorothée Piot, 1978 Les Bains Douches by Bertrand Duchaufour and 2015 Le Phénix by Michel Almairac Trois jus, three symbolic dates in the history of the establishment of rue du Bourg l’Abbé. Among those who came to breathe the fragrance signed Michel Almairac, photographer Sonia Sieff, Inès Mélia and Thomas Erber. So, to get Les Bains in your skin, go to the boutique without further delay…
