An Initiatory Journey at Lafayette Anticipations
Bringing together some 40 works and pieces from various periods and fields, “Au-Delà, Rituals for a New World” opened this Tuesday at Lafayette Anticipations. The exhibition invites the viewer to a mystical reflection on the cycles of life by mixing contemporary works, made exclusively for this particular occasion, with older works. The exhibition also integrates rarely exhibited archeological objects which, in dialogue with the works, create bridges between eras.
Paintings, fashion, music and sculptures coexist and question our deeper feelings about life by observing contemporary worlds and by invoking forgotten pagan cultures. The underlying idea is therefore to answer the following question: how can we think of a more desirable future by learning from ancient times and millennial ideas?
