Figaret’s Literary Dinners Continue to Enjoy Unabated Success
For this year’s “La passion du style” dinner, Figaret’s President Eléonore Baudry has turned to journalist, columnist/entrepreneur and occasional DJ Ariel Wizman. A man of culture and literature, he has a secret passion for Jorge Luis Borges, a renowned Argentinian writer and poet who passed in 1986. The evening was also an opportunity to discuss his work with authors such as Aurélien Bellanger, Alix Girod de l’Ain and Eric Garandeau. Although founding a link between an artwork and a shirt may seem far from obvious, Ariel Wizman has found the right common thread: something about the arid, uncluttered style of Bourges, in his stripped-down demand for artifice that evokes a Figaret shirt. In the cosy interiors of the boutique on rue de la Paix, transformed into an ephemeral library reminiscent of that of Babel, guests let their minds plunge into the unique world of Borges.
We have the pleasure of meeting Brune Poirson, Laurent Laffont and Emmanuel Sauvage.
