The Name of the Rose: Richard Orlinski reinterprets the iconic Lancôme symbol
It’s the beauty collaboration everyone will be talking about this fall. The world’s best-selling contemporary French artist, Richard Orlinski, has joined forces with Lancôme to create a line of never-before-seen products (Which ones? The mystery will be revealed in the fall). The Lancôme x Richard Orlinski collection is a meeting of beauty and pop art, nature and technology, reinterpreting the timeless rose, a symbol of Lancôme’s expertise. Available in white, yellow and pink gold, with its multiple feminine and complex facets, the new beauty object becomes as exceptional as a collectible jewel. “Lancôme is a brand that defends happiness through freedom,” explains the artist, who showed the collection in his Rue Saint-Honoré gallery to his closest friends last week. “This is also what I’m looking for by exhibiting my art in unusual places or being present where I’m least expected.” The lunch was followed by an intimate cocktail party, to celebrate in beauty this new collaboration…
