Le French Design at Alcova: French Creativity in the Spotlight!
Earlier this week, two major events put French creativity on the centre stage: the Mobilier National exhibition and the French Design exhibition at Alcova. In the new spaces of the former slaughterhouse Porta Vittoria, were presented pieces soon to become emblematic, such as the Eidois XXI set designed with the research studio of the Mobilier National.
The set includes a bookcase, a desk and a lamp designed by Valérie Maltaverne (YMER&MALTA studio) and Benjamin Graindorge, as well as the Orria chair, created in collaboration with the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, designed by Patrick Jouin and produced by Alki.
Many personalities from the international design and cultural worlds attended this exhibition, which celebrated transalpine expertise. Among them, French Editor Carine Roitfeld, CEO of Le French Design Jean Paul Bach, The World of Interiors’ style director Gianluca Longo, Consultant Isabelle Valembras, director of Cool Hunting David Graver, interior designer Clara Nexon, Karla Otto’s Alexander Werz, Yorgo Tloupas and Swiss collector Maja Hoffmann. So many names gathered around a common aim: to pay tribute to the French touch.
