Fashion feels bad this morning. She’s whining. And more than usual. Writers from the five continents, stylists, photographers, creators, advertisers, directors, agents, models and so on all shout in unison: it hurts! The fault to Lancôme, who for 2 seasons makes fun of tomorrow and organizes for the above-mentioned CSP a party to dig up the dead. The one who closes shows by opening Pandora’s box. Last night, more than ever, LA soirée was orgiastic: bars in every corner, XXL dance floor, faceted balls, confetti release, Willy Moon live and, of course, rain of modosphere stars.
After hooking up with Alber Elbaz in 2013 for a capsule collection, Lancôme Paris is launching this season’Nouvelle Vague’, a series of make-up kits designed by three young Parisian designers with antipodic DNA: Alexandre Vauthier, Jacquemus and Yiqing Yin. Result? Three couture boxes to accommodate three of the House’s icons: L’Absolu Rouge, Hypnôse Star mascara and Hypnôse Palette. It deserved a party. B.B.
