Plunging at the Heart of Lancôme’s Domaine de la Rose

To welcome the summer in style, Lancôme took us on a getaway to the breezy coasts of the South of France to discover the delicate notes of its new high perfumery collection, Absolue Les Parfums. Friends of the Maison gathered at the Domaine de la Rose, where Lancôme fragrances are born, for an immersive and privileged experience.

Guests were first treated to the Lancôme Spa at the Carlton Hotel, home to some of the biggest stars during the famous Cannes Film Festival. Freshened up and acquainted with the new Lancôme Absolute Juice range, they then headed to Grasse, the world capital of perfume and home to the Domaine de la Rose, to attend an exclusive dinner. Gathered around a candle-light table, under the moonlight, listening to a live piano performance and enveloped by the beautiful roses that make up its scent, we were introduced to the first opus of the new range, Rose on the Moon. After a speech by Françoise Lehmann, Managing Director of Lancôme International, guests met the noses behind Absolue Les Parfums.

The programme for July 4th featured a tour of the distillery led by a specialist, as well as several workshops retracing the different stages involved in the creation of the scents. This day devoted to exploring the site, which embodies the rich natural and cultural heritage surrounding the art of perfume, was rounded off at the Beach Club Plage of the Cannes Film Festival, where the fragrances “Hell of A Rose” and “I Flamed A Rose” were revealed under a fireworks show.

Built around the 1001 Roses fragrance, the final day brought us to Nice, more precisely to its flower market, where Lancôme had set up a special stand to distribute their outstanding flower bouquets. To top it all off, lunch at Le Plongeoir, a chic and historic restaurant boasting a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean. Throughout these days, we had the pleasure of meeting Jessica Wang, Sami Miro, Hannah Desai, Irene Azuela, Dima Sheikhly, Loreto Peralta and many more.
