Lacoste SS20: Louise Trotter defies nature at Roland-Garros

Last March, Louise Trotter presented her first collection for Lacoste at Tennis Club de Paris. Today, the artistic director of the brand founded in 1933 by René Lacoste once again demonstrated its deep connection to tennis by presenting her Spring/Summer 2020 collection at Roland-Garros, on the Simonne-Mathieu court. Nothing more logical for the “crocodile brand” created by the former tennis champion. At the time, he succeeded in elevating this sport to lifestyle status. For the guests sitting in the front row (Marie-Ange Casta, Ilona Smet, Marc Forne, Corine or the young Noah Schnapp revealed by the Netflix’s “Stranger Things”), the collection is a major hit. Louise Trotter demonstrates her mastery of cuts, her skillful use of mixed materials, and her ability to create a color palette that has to power to convert even people who only wear black. Looks like Trotter also controls the elements: as an ultimate validation by the weather, the rain waited a few seconds after the finale to literally pour on location. Further proof that this shows will surely be remembered!
