La Terrasse by Albane, the Hotspot of La Croisette
Festival-goers fall into two categories: those who frequent it and those who dream about it. Perched at the top of a building overlooking the Croisette, a stone’s throw from the Palais des Festivals, La Terrasse by Albane has become one of the Festival’s most coveted spots over the last twenty years. Exclusive to cinema professionals, this ephemeral venue has built its reputation thanks to its commitment to confidentiality and taste for excellence. Since 2024, the place also boasts an outstanding attraction: the culinary creations of Mauro Colagreco, chef at Mirazur in Menton, rated best restaurant in the world in 2019 and awarded with three Michelin stars. To enhance the culinary experience, Mauro Colagreco invites guests to indulge in Tempera, a range of infusions and macerations inspired by the same sustainable principles. Hosting press junket after press junket during the day, the place takes on an exhilarating rhythm when the sun goes down. After dinner, the filmmaking community gathers there for a drink. There’s dancing, chit-chat and lots of fun. A quintessential element of the Cannes Film Festival’s charm.
We crossed paths with jury members Payal Kapadia, Carlos Reygadas, Dieudo Hamadi, Leïla Slimani and Alba Rohrwacher, alongside Mélanie Laurent, Joséphine Japy, Felix Kysyl, Laurent Lafitte, and Geraldine Nakache, to name but a few.
