ANDREADAMO’s Second Skin
In a dimmed light intimate atmosphere, the sound of a stiletto entering the room draws our attention. The figure wearing them is unabashedly sensual: head held high, she smokes a cigarette to the beat of Mina’s soundtrack. The ANDREADAMO woman is fearless and proud, her gaze is magnetic and arouses desire in the audience. Entitled “Seconda Pelle” (Second Skin), the Spring-Summer 24 collection narrates a story of femininity in its purest state, a story about unapologetic eroticism. Garments become an extension of the models’ bodies, sometimes revealing, sometimes concealing them. The looks are composed of playful contrasts demonstrating how see-through blouses paired with tailored jackets can be equal weapons of seduction. This is how the designer pays tribute to the Italian singer, also known as the Tiger of Cremona, by styling models with her unmistakable thin eyebrows and dressing them in garments that make a nod to the male wardrobe. Transparencies and daring, plunging necklines dominate, even in broad-shouldered jackets and leather bombers, which leave shreds of bare skin exposed. Close-fitting knitwear, the brand’s signature, fits all body shapes like a glove and is adorned by sparkling sequins and feather inserts that add a touch of glamour. True to the brand’s essence, the colour palette is mostly neutral, accentuated with dashes of colour like on the red full-leather closing look. Just when the show seems to be over, several silhouettes emerge from behind a white curtain, as if shadows against the wall of a dimly lit bedroom. Seated in the front row were many of Andrea’s friends, including Elodie with her boyfriend Andrea Iannone, Gaia, Chiara Capitani and Larsen Thompson. Designers Giuliano Calza, creative of GCDS, and Nicola Brognano, of Blumarine, were also there to support Adamo.
