The Summery Softness of Koché’s Fashion Show on the Banks of the Seine
Under the blazing late June sunshine, Koché took to the banks of the Seine on a discreet barge in the 15th arrondissement. Sober and sophisticated, the show reflected the essence of the brand, that is, a skilful blend of popular culture and outstanding craftsmanship. The swimming pool encompassing the catwalk mirrored the summery spirit of the collection, which is dominated by a neutral colour palette brightened by touches of golden buttercup yellow and azure blue.
Printed tops, dresses with hand-painted lace and sheer chiffon fabrics stand as an ode to femininity expressed in delicate masculine pieces. Christelle Kocher experiments playfully with materials, delivering pieces that oscillate between the stretch of sportswear fabrics and the lightness of more delicate satins, which she adorns with sparkling crystals and sparkling embroidery.
The collection is a blend that reflects the designer’s personal balance between New York and Paris, capitals of elegance and pop art, thus offering an elegant synthesis adaptable to all seasons and trends.
We caught a glimpse of Trinidad James, Ogee, Yvesmark Chery, Pascal K Douglas, Jonathan Hayden, and many others…
