K-Way and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
The sudden rain just before the start of the K-Way Fashion Show felt more than appropriate. A celebration of the brand’s 60th anniversary was about to take the stage. The show for the R&D Fall-Winter 25/26 collection was accompanied by the opening of In Y/Our Life – The Hidden Side of Everyday Things, a multicultural exhibition about the story of the iconic nature of K-Way and other symbolic brands of everyday life, combining pieces from the archives, design and art. The same fashion show revolved around a tribute to Le Vrai, the quintessential rain jacket that we have all had in our wardrobes since 1965. Here it becomes the source of inspiration for the selection of shell-shaped, clean-lined outerwear. The cape model stands out among all, returning in different versions throughout the whole collection. The celebration of the origins is highlighted by a highly energetic chromatic selection, which alternates iconic colours, like blue, yellow and orange, with sophisticated shades such as burgundy. Also worth mentioning among the accessories is a capsule collection of PVC and nylon bags inspired by the Le Vrai jacket, created in collaboration with the French brand CAHU. The enthusiastic audience included Ed Westwick, Ludovica Meral Frasca, Andrea Pirlo, Ivan Carbone and Eléna Hazinah.
