Juliette Binoche joins Anne Fontaine and Claude Lelouch for the Chinese Film Festival in France
As the Cannes Film Festival approached, it was in Paris in the Salon Pompadour of the Hotel Le Meurice that the Chinese Film Festival in France celebrated its seventh edition. From May 15 to June 27, this festival organized by the Cultural Center of China and the Pathé group will travel the major cities of France, including Cannes, to present its films. This year, directors Anne Fontaine and Claude Lelouch are the festival’s ambassadors and were joined by Juliette Binoche, guest of honour at this year’s festival. The opening cocktail at the Meurice brought together French and Chinese cinema personalities, such as Elsa Zylberstein and the director Xue Xiaolu, around Christophe Chopnieau, Deputy Director General of the Meurice. An evening which still announces a beautiful radiance of the Chinese cinema in France whereas all eyes will soon be riveted on Cannes.
