Honoring Julien Creuzet at Fondation d’entreprise Ricard and Bétonsalon

Reading the title of his exhibition at the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard, there is no doubt that Julien Creuzet’s artistic approach is full of poetry. With “All the distance from the sea, so that the oil filaments of the “mancenilliers” stop us the heartbeats. Rain made this possible (…)”, the French artist presents a double project simultaneously installed at the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard and at Bétonsalon (two institutions linked notably by the Pernod Ricard Fellowship). The exhibition was inaugurated this week at 12 rue Boissy d’Anglas in the presence of Colette Barbier and the founders of Bétonsalon Mélanie Bouteloup and Virginie Bobin. The two exhibitions respond to each other and represent the two components of a whole, so that the project manifesto is complete only when the titles of the two exhibitions are put together. Julien Creuzet brings to it, with a conceptual sculptural work, a commentary on stories of acculturation and reappropriation of identities. While the exhibition at the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard will close its doors on February 19, the works will join their counterparts at Bétonsalon to find a new reading until April 14.
