Jérémy Pradier-Jeauneau Presents Le Labyrinthe at the Hôtel de la Marine
At the occasion of Paris Design Week and the European Heritage Days, Jérémy Pradier-Jeauneau unveils Le Labyrinthe at the Hôtel de la Marine. Combining contemporary design, craftsmanship and French heritage, this monumental installation offers a unique immersive experience. Le Labyrinthe is a sensitive and poetic work designed as a journey in three parts, unfolding between the main courtyard, the state rooms and the loggia of the Hôtel de la Marine. It pays heartfelt tribute to French expertise in arts and crafts and design, while exploring the myth of Daedalus and the history of the monument, which was the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne (the department responsible for the order, upkeep, storage and repair of all the furniture, art, and other movable objects in the royal palaces) at the end of the 18th century. Thought of as a film in reference to Jérémy Pradier-Jeauneau’s first profession, the installation narrates the journey of heroines and heroes struggling against adversity and themselves, to ultimately rise above and find happiness. At the opening night, we met Jérémy Pradier-Jeauneau, alongside Carine Roitfeld, Bilal Hassani, Tom Pecheux, Pascal K Douglas and others.
