Jean-Charles de Castelbajac’s “creative machine” for OnePLus is not just a phone
What can Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, an unclassifiable creator who plays with conventions, and OnePlus, a major new player in the mobile industry, have in common? More than you think. The latter recently partnered with the designer to create an exclusive phone. Carried by a launch party at the Trianon linking fashion, art and music, the collaboration brings together the technical and creative worlds of Castelbajac and OnePlus to create a true state of mind. The motto: “this is not a telephone, it’s a creative machine”. With Maud Geffray, Kazy Lambist, Mustang and Lou Hayter successively mounted on stage to move the audience (where we could meet Mathieu César, Marco dos Santos or Orlan), it is in a cheerful crowd that all have discovered the object of desire and the colorful accessories – bag and case for colourful phone. The “CALLection” (note the exquisite pun) will be the subject of a pop-up store at colette from Friday 22 September.
