Izzy Du Lands in the Capital of Fashion
This is hot news for all fashion lovers ready to fight inclement weather with impeccable elegance and solid protection: London-based designer Izzy Du is making quite an entrance in the French capital with the opening of her brand-new Pop-Up Store.
After graduating from the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Chinese-Canadian designer Izzy Du settled in London to found her eponymous brand – whose name you are sure to be hearing at every fashion event. Only one year after attending the highly prestigious Central Saint Martins School, she unveiled her first runway collection, “Provenance”, alongside a ready-to-wear line titled “IZZY DU / LIFELINE”.
Izzy Du is now seizing the opportunity to visit Paris during Fashion Week to unveil her latest collection, ‘ORIGINS’. This fall-winter ready-to-wear line is inspired by her daily life in Canada, where puffer coats are a must-have piece in every wardrobe. The launch event also featured Izzy Du’s early conceptual work and her latest collaboration with the Tiger Beer brand: a puffer jacket with an integrated cooling system, an ingenious solution to fight high summer temperatures. Not only are her designs highly sophisticated but also their production presents quite a technical challenge. We are talking about state-of-the-art technology; garments are made from 100% recycled cotton, silk and water-resistant polyamide. In short, an environmentally-committed collection made for all genders and generations.
A new fashion experience that brings a fresh perspective to the textile industry. With her distinctive creations, Izzy Du aspires to unite individuals with diverse styles and personalities, bringing a breath of fresh air to the world of fashion.
This unprecedented fashion experience brings a stimulating new perspective on the textile industry. Through her unique pieces, Izzy Du aims to build a community gathering individuals with different styles and personalities, thus bringing a refreshing breath to the fashion world.
During the inauguration event, we had the pleasure of meeting Marie Gaguech, Lara Violetta, Izzi Allain, Lisa Bouteldja, Jean-Jacques N’djoli, Lola Clabots, Jefferson Hack, Melissa Bon, Jeune Pouce, Regina Anikiy and many others.
