Isabel Marant’s Fall-Winter 23/24 Show is Driven by The Laws of Desire and Disorder
“Desire and disorder” was the mantra driving Isabel Marant’s autumn-winter 23/24 collection. A mantra that resonated quite literally throughout the show, amplified by the live performances of DJ Gabber Eleganza and Lulu Van Trapp, who set the tone with their electrifying soundtrack. Blending casual with glamour, the silhouettes of the French designer paraded, last Thursday, against the beautiful backdrop of the garden of Palais Royal. Designed with the modern active woman in mind, the collection is versatile and feminine. It features knitwear in a natural soft palette and oversized comfy garments, but also edgier pieces like leather jackets and boots. As the show progressed, looks evolved in colour and shape, with garments becoming more form-fitting and necklines more revealing. Transparencies also appeared and black took over, sparkling with dashes of glitter, hinting at an upcoming after-party.
