Isabel Marant stages her Spring/Sumer 2021 show with powerful dance performance
Love was in the air at the Isabel Marant show. In a world where it’s prohibited to kiss or embrace loved ones and where masks are covering faces at all times, the Parisian designer provided her guests with a feeling of ‘joie de vivre’. In the Palais-Royal garden, her desire for an escape resulted in a collection with flashy colors inspired by 80s icons Kim Wilde and Debbie Harry. On the masculine/feminine silhouettes, prints by the American artist Amber Goldhammer show a multitude of multicolored hearts. Walking to a remix of Donna Summer’s ‘I Feel Love’ by Italian artist Gabber Eleganza, the models were accompanied by a dance performance by (LA)HORDE. The group delivered a frantic and powerful performance that created a feeling of exaltation.
