Inspired by Materials, FORMÆ Launches its Very First Print Issue
“The medium is the message”, said Marshall McLuhan. FORMÆ takes this reflection a step further and looks at the very essence of the medium, that is its materiality. Newly founded and led by editors-in-chief Sébastien Maschino and Eva Magnier, FORMÆ adopts the prism of materials to offer an unprecedented exploration of the potentialities lying ahead in the fields of design and architecture. State-of-the-art technology, conceptual design, unconventional materials that leave us astonished (had you ever thought of salt or mycelium as a building material?) or projects that blur the boundaries between art, architecture, and interior design. Innovation is undeniably at the very core of their identity, and yet they value traditional techniques, artisanal know-how, and high-quality materials. Thanks to their experienced and bold eye, FORMÆ’s proposal goes beyond spotting trends, it presents us with a refreshed vision that broadens our horizons, unveiling endless possibilities. The launch of their very first print issue took place at Théorème Éditions Gallery on September 2.
