A World of Opposites with JordanLuca’s Men Fall-Winter Collection

Where do we go from here? Neither forward nor backward. The world seems frozen, as if it has taken a long journey into the darkest of forests, a forest that does not see the light. So I ask again: where are we headed? Global warming, pandemics, social and political tensions, the prospect of total digital control of our thinking are some of the problems in which humanity must now evolve and live. JordanLuca fall-winter 2023 is a testimony to this particular moment: hic et nunc. But the brand is not known for its pessimism, rather the opposite. In moments of stagnation, creatives respond with movement. That of new generations questioning the present and seeking answers for the future. A rather complicated task, but without asking questions, of course, it would not be possible to find answers. JordanLuca thus creates clothes that are inspired by the uncertain times in which we find ourselves living, to later explore them through opposites. Equality and disparity, chaos and order.

For the first time, this season’s collection mixed masculine and feminine looks. While men’s kilts and skirts were paired with long train pants, the shoulders of jackets, coats and shirts pushed outward perhaps representing a desire for movement. On the runway, sweatshirts were juxtaposed with military pink camouflage pants and jumpsuits, shirts, and maxi down jackets were made through a collaboration with British brand Lonsdale. Among the various guests who attended the fashion show were Gabriele Esposito, Manuel Otgianu and Aiello. So, I ask again, where are we going? Well, we really still don’t know.
