PFW night 2 –
Still timid, the night program of the second night of the PFW was trusted by the big H&M evening which, without surprise, offered itself a first gargantuan parade orchestrated by the Betak Office.
The fifty-metre tent planted in the park of the Rodin Museum hid a succession of ultra-cosy pieces in which wedding fashion rushed en masse. Picking lobster in Limoges porcelain, taking a waterless bath with Pixie Geldof, or falling asleep on a bed of cushions, you could. You could also play half-tail for Cara Delevingne, Joan Smalls and Lindsay Wixon. Another alternative: listen to Owlle’s live – heard on Carven a few seasons earlier – and Hawkins & Chen’s set, followed by 2manydjs – a performance that, by the way, transgressed all the foundations of contemporary production.
So the holy spirit of fashion did come back down to Paris, but one question remains: Why the hell were there washbasins in front of the DJ cabin? H&mmm… B.B.
