Hed Mayner Makes Oversized the New Elegant at the Palais de Tokyo
Hed Mayner’s SS25 Fashion Show, held at the Palais de Tokyo, caused quite a sensation for the sophistication of a collection made almost entirely of oversized pieces. The Israeli fashion designer unveiled 32 looks of dramatic foldings and pleating fabrics, almost crumpling. And yet, the garments remain sophisticated, epitomising the brand’s emblematic deconstructed style. Volumes exaggerate shapes, widen lines, and make the models’ silhouettes look almost disproportionate at times. On a narrow runway, the collection also used bolder-than-usual prints, a fact not lost on front-row guests, who had a ringside seat to admire these impressive creations. At the show, alongside Hed Mayner, we met Diane Pernet, Sophie Fontanel, Julie Gilhart, Smino and many others.
