Haussmann Side Story : a one-off performance for Heritage Days
Each year, the European Heritage Days invite visitors to re-discover some of Paris’ most iconic cultural sites. And this year, the Haussmann Committee wanted to pay tribute to this historic Parisian district by revisiting American musical West Side Story. « Haussmann Side Story » therefore revives the long-gone tradition of events that used to liven up the neighborhood, by staging a unique performance celebrating both fashion and culture. The show, coordinated by the Mogador Theatre team, invited twenty dancers to compete to the rhythm of DJ sets as two rival gangs, namely #HaussmannEst and #HaussmanWest.
The main goal of the event was to promote this long-celebrated and emblematic Parisian district. President of the Haussmann Committee Alexandre Liot wished to reaffirm the importance of the district as the capital’s main place of activity by occupying and investing public space. A great success !
