Haider Ackermann and Bettina Rheims will chair the 33rd Hyères Festival

For several weeks now on the Villa Noailles website (http://www.villanoailles-hyeres.com), three small videos have been shooting for a very special reason. This is the announcement of the official opening of the applications declared by the Festival’s friends, former juries or prizewinners. Among them, Jean-Pierre Blanc of course, but also Pierre Hardy, Alexandra Golovanoff, Bertrand Guyon and many others. In 2018, the Fashion, Photography and Fashion Accessories Festival, held every year at Villa Noailles, will celebrate its 33rd edition. This week, the three juries officially revealed, in the salons of the new MAD Paris (formerly Arts Décoratifs), the list of ten finalists in each category of the competition. It was an opportunity for all the guests present to have a first contact with the new jurors. For fashion, the designer and artistic director of Berluti Haider Ackermann is taking on the role of president this year, accompanied by the talents of Lou Doillon, Ben Gorham (Byredo), Farida Khelfa and Jefferson Hack in particular. The latest winner is Vanessa Schindler. As for photography (a discipline not to be outdone thanks to the new American Vintage Photography Prize), the iconic Bettina Rheims, assisted by her jury, will have the task of choosing a winner. Christelle Kocher will chair the accessory jury, a brand new addition to the Festival initiated in 2017. While the Festival will take place from April 26 to 30 in Hyères, this week’s event will have allowed everyone to familiarize themselves with the finalists’ work, all in an inspired scenography and to the sound of a concert by the duo Haute. Book your tickets.
