Guerlain Brings a Scent of Love to Art Basel Paris

Maison Guerlain, Paris

On Tuesday evening, Guerlain unveiled ‘En plein cœur’, an exhibition of modern and contemporary art presented at the Maison Guerlain, located at 68 avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris. Curated by Hervé Mikaeloff and Benoît Baume, the exhibition celebrates the centenary of the Shalimar fragrance, created in 1925, and explores the evolution of romantic love throughout the past century. The exhibition showcases the work of more than thirty artists, including established figures such as Marina Abramović, David Hockney and Niki de Saint Phalle, alongside rising talents including Valentin Ranger, Damien Moulierac and Marion Flament. Spanning three floors, the artworks – paintings, photographs, videos, sculptures and installations – invite visitors to reflect on our relationship with love, its mythologies and metamorphoses, and to engage in personal introspection. As an official partner of Art Basel Paris, Guerlain presents this exhibition as part of the official programme of the fair, alongside an olfactory journey created by Delphine Jelk, perfumer at Guerlain, in collaboration with Magique Studio.

At the opening, we met Wim Wenders, Pierre and Gilles, Rahim Redcar, Valentin Ranger, Hervé Mikaeloff, and many others.
