Goth Mermaids at Bluemarine
A seashore with white sand. A rather atypical catwalk but perfectly suited for the Bluemarine mermaids of a gothic Spring Summer 23 collection. Nicola Brognano has pulled aways from the candy flavor of the 2000s to dive deeper into the dark sea. But, the Bluemarine woman of this season is not so different from the one we’ve grown attached to.. she still likes to seduce. And what better seducer than a Siren ? The Spring Summer 2023 line uses colors from the ocean depths, plays with sensations and shapes to recreate a feeling. Even the jewelry feels like it was found at sea. Like amphibious creatures, oversized, multi-pocketed cargoes in délavé denim turn hybrid, transforming into wide skirts. Shells become bra tops, gothic crystal crosses embellish nude mesh T-shirts or hang from beaded mini dresses. The men’s looks are new.

Attending the show were many celebrities including actress Claire Holt, Ester Exposito, Veronica Ferraro, Caro Daur and Bryan Boy, recently appointed Editor-in-Chief of Perfect Magazine.
