Goossens Celebrates Venetian Nuptials Over a Dinner
In the early 50s, Robert Goossens established a goldsmith’s workshop in Le Marais, Paris. Shortly afterwards, he met Gabrielle Chanel, with whom he forged an unbreakable creative bond through their shared delight in blurring the established rules of jewellery making. Goossens soon became one of the great houses of Parisian fashion jewellery and is nowadays one of the art houses working in le19M building, on the outskirts of Paris.
To usher in the wedding season, the French Maison celebrated love and the city that best embodies it: Venice. It was also the occasion to unveil the new line of jewellery, inspired by Venetian weddings and adorned with freshwater pearls, mother-of-pearl or rock crystal, over a dinner hosted by bride-to-be Alexandra Van Houtte. What’s more, this special occasion also marked the introduction of Goossens’ very first line of head jewellery, perfect for sparkling brides and jewellery enthusiasts. During this evening placed under the banner of happiness, we ran into Jeanne Damas, Nina Koltchitskaia, Monica de la Villardière and Adeline Mai among others.
